The Importance of regular blog posts

How many articles should you publish every month?  Producing regular posts on your blog is vital to maintain your websites flow of traffic. Without the constant flow of information, pictures and articles, your audience will start to dwindle and then stop, as search engines takes less notice of you and your blog.

Yes, your older posts may bring in some traffic, but even your old posts should be updated as newer stuff is released in your niche. Plus this technique can be a good one to gain more traffic in the long run. In this article we’ll talk about the mportance of regular blog posts, how many you need to publish per month to have a healthy flow of traffic and build an audience, then turn all this into loyal web traffic..

How many times per month?

Blogging is one of those things in life that has many different answers to the same question. How many times per month, you say? Well, of course, there is a minimum, at least once a month most marketing gurus say, to stay relevant in your niche. Of course, this won’t make you an authoritative blog, but it’ll just keep you on the search engines radars.

Many top blogs publish articles daily; some news site publishes hundreds of blogs per day. But again, it all depends on some factors which I will go through with you’re here. You need to ask yourself these questions:

What niche/Industry I am in?

What is my target audience is, and when are they online?

And finally, what is my online sales strategy?

Then after you have done this, you need to research your niche in depth then and come up with a rough figure of published blogs every month.

Daily blogs

Some people who are either super awesome writers or have some superpowers, blog several times a day. Of course, Google loves these sorts of blogs. It will rank them higher than blogs that post less often. But to maintain this level of content is a big commitment. You would need a well-researched topic and have hundreds of article topics ready to be written about.

This sort of blogging is best left for horoscopes or news websites, sites like tech crunch often use this tactic quite well.

Weekly

Posting weekly blogs is a strategy some bloggers use. While not overdoing it on the posting front, your audience will be updated with fresh, engaging content. You have to realise, though, that blogging for the sake of trying to get traffic, will not work. You still have to write high-quality content. Otherwise, you’ll many people come to your website and leave. Many top blogs do this type of blogging; it produces content in a steady stream and also lets Google know you are an authority in your niche.

Monthly

Of course, blogging once a month is not going to get you in the search engines favor that quickly, nor will you build a high flow of traffic. Releasing blogs in this fashion is more suited to already established companies that may want to release updates of their product or educational material. But if aren’t too concerned about gaining traffic to the website.

Search engines will still notice the blog, and in the long term, it will see you as an authority in your niche.

How much is best to write?

Writing long-form article posts is better in terms of SEO and building an increasing flow of organic traffic. But how much is too much? In today’s modern world, most, if not all people will skim when reading blog posts. They will often look for the conclusion first, and if they like it, there’ll move up the article and look for what information they were looking for.

Many marketers say different things when it comes to writing amount for blog posts. Some report shorter the better and others say bigger the better, Neil Patel, SEO guru and marketer says most blogs need 2000 words or more to rank effectively on google.Again it depends on your niche and if your audience needs long and in-depth articles.

Update older blog posts

Older blog posts are an excellent way to get a steady flow of traffic from your website. A well-made article can have people sharing on social media for months. And of course, this brings a lot of traffic to your site.

But updating your articles is also a great technique.. As your niche changes so should your older posts on the subject, some websites like Hubspot say they update their old blog posts every month like 70% of their websites traffic comes from these older posts.

Using planning software

You could use planning software like saying Trello, for instance, to plan and schedule your blog post publishing. This will make your blogging life more comfortable and make you feel more like you’re in control.

One Size Doesn’t Fit All

So there, you have it. Blogging it turns out is not one approach that fits all. You have to look and research your particular niche, look to see when your competitors publish their blog. Maybe view your analytics and find when your audience is online and what posts they like the best.

But always remember though that content is king. Blogging is an art form. Churning out low-quality material is suitable for no one; it will not turn your leads into a community and then into paying customers, it’ll turn people away from your website and business.

Also, get a good strategic plan in place. Use planning software and stick to it. But always, write well made, 100% original content for your audience.
